I find that understanding the concept and context of what I am studying helps me remember long-term. When you 'cram', it can disappear when you most need it!

for me craming isnt the best cause it can disappoint you when you need it most. But reading from time to time just like we resite music and the thing will come to live with us.So constant reading is the best.

In my own opinion,
I think we need to be precisely in what we read, study or learn.
That way, it gets into us such that it becomes part of us either conciously or unconciously.

Hi Chrizzyboy, I hope my reply isn't coming too late!
For me, the best way to remember something I've studied, is to read it, then try to write it down once or twice from memory. Once I can write it down, I hardly forget it.
